Mistletoe Madness Blog Hop ~ CONTEST CLOSED

Give Books for Christmas!

‘Tis the season for gift giving, and even at this late date I’m sure there are still a few folks out there who have yet to check everyone off their list. Here is the problem I have discovered–I keep finding, and buying, things for myself as well as for others. Oh, well.

Anyway, while I’m shopping, I often turn to books for gifts for those on my list. Cookbooks for my friends. Non-fiction for my father. Romance for my mother, usually my own print books. A classic selection for the little ones on my list (being a New Yorker who has spent considerable time at the Plaza, Eloise at Christmastime is one of my favorite gifts for a child).

A COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS

A Cowboy for Christmas by Cat JohnsonSexy, independent, corporate executive Casey Harrington’s life and career were shaped by a childhood Christmas wish left unfulfilled.  Now, twenty years later on a Colorado cattle ranch, she finally gets everything she’s always wanted—both a hot cowboy and a dream job.

But Bonner “Blue” Boyd is a rancher and Casey is a New Yorker, and even if the sex between them is hot enough to start a prairie fire, they both know that city and country might mix for a week, but it can’t work for a lifetime. Or can it?

When a dramatic turn of events reunite Bonner and Casey, this time on her turf in her city, she has to prove to her displaced cowboy he belongs with her, no matter where they end up. Luckily Casey knows the quickest way to a man’s heart is slightly lower than his stomach.

  1. I like to give something sentimental or from the heart, like photo books or something that person really loves

  2. When my mother was still alive….Every Christmas she would give the guys tube socks, t-shirts, jeans & a long sleeve shirt. The girls got jeans, shirts, socks, bath stuff & chocolate. The kids would get clothes & lots of toys. (girls=barbies/dolls — boys=g.i.joes, match box cars) We always knew with mom/grandma we would get something needed & something wanted. Thanks for the giveaway & Merry Christmas to you & yours. leann

  3. My favorite gift to give is anything I buy for my nieces and nephew. I love seeing their expression when they realize I got them something they really wanted.

  4. Same for me I turn to books as gifts, Christian lit for my parents, whatever is a MUST read for the kids and so on. I also make pans of baklava and cookies to give to family that has NO desire to open the pages of book.

  9. Usually sports T-shirts for the guys, pajamas & fluffy socks for the girls. With the 10 grandkids it varies. This year along with their main gift, they each are getting 2 books from Granny & Bampaw.

  10. That’s a hard question! I would have to say my favorite gift to give would be something that I put a lot of thought into and I know the recipient will love it.

  11. Something with thought behind it, a giftcard to a bookstore if it´s a person who loves to read, or a nice bottle of whisky if it´s my brother or hubby =D me, myself am more to the giftcard, or a nice pyjamas *happy sigh*

    best wishes, Linda

  12. If I can’t find or make something personal for each person, then it has to be home baked cookies or candy. I always find out what the grandkids asked Santa for and make sure they have that on Christmas morning.

  18. I actually like to give gift cards because I know people can get exactly what they want – not what I think they need or want. I don’t think it’s impersonal – I’m saying them time from having to return anything 😉
I love your work!! Glad to see you in the hop 🙂
