The Week in Review…

SylviaDayErotic Romance reached a whole new level of exposure this week when erotic author Sylvia Day (who I can say I knew back when) and also “the author who shall not be named” were questions on ABC’s daytime game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Sadly, I knew the answer but could not play from here at home, and the cat, the only one here at the time, was not impressed when I squealed and said “I know her!”.

Keep Calm and Eat Bologna Cat Johnson MagnetsNext up–the Keep Calm and Eat Bologna magnets arrived at Josephs Fine Foods in Drumright, Oklahoma. Let the promo ho-ing begin! For those who missed it, there is a close association between Joseph’s Fried Bologna Sandwich and a certain sexy scene in my up coming release One Night with a Cowboy. Read the story HERE . If you’re near Drumright, stop by and grab one if there are any left. Swag tends to go VERY fast there at Josephs. The “Keep Calm and Eat Bologna” pencils and the Got Heroes? can koozies both flew out the door.

#4 Best Seller CowboyOne month out from official release and ONE NIGHT WITH A COWBOY is kicking butt on preorder at Barnes & Noble. I discovered I was the #8 hottest trending Nook book (for a little while anyway) and today, I was #4 in the Contemporary Romance- Cowboys category amid some incredible company. Things move fast in the best seller rankings but so far so good! Go, BN!

Publishers Weekly Review of Cat Johnson One Night with a Cowboy

One thing that may have hoisted me up the ranks was this PUBLISHERS WEEKLY REVIEW! I am proud to have my One Night with a Cowboy declared ‘sex-centric’ and “satisfying” by this most esteemed publication and I wear it as a badge of honor! LOL Actually, this is the full quote, but I enjoy sex-centric and satisfying so much, I may have it made into a T-Shirt!

“Johnson alternates between Tucker’s sex-centric narration and Becca’s more emotion-focused perspective, both of which are convincing and satisfying.” Publishers Weekly

USA Today Review UNRIDDEN

And finally, I was thrilled to see my Studs in Spurs series featured alongside my fellow Samhain Publishing cowboy series authors by USA Today’s Happy Ever After blog. How amazing is that?! They featured the first book in three different cowboy series. The reviewer said about UNRIDDEN, “Mustang and Slade are sweet and intense, and I really wanted to be Jenna.” Jessie Potts, USA Today

Add to that 2 incredible reader emails within a 12 hour period, both telling me how much they are loving reading my Studs in Spurs, a few great reviews and ratings for my upcoming One Night with a Cowboy from Kensington, the over 10K words I’ve written in my Oklahoma Nights Book 3 over the past few days, and I’d say it’s been a pretty satisfying week!

Thanks for sharing it with me!
