3 Words: Mass. Market. Paperback.

Here are 3 more… Linda Lael Miller

And here’s a handful more… Jill Shalvis and Lucy Monroe

What’s all that have in common? I’ll tell you.

I’m going to have a 20K word story in a mass market collection of beach reads headlined by Linda Lael Miller, Jill Shalvis and Lucy Monroe being published by Kensington next July!

HOLY CRAP! I still can’t write that without being shocked all over again. It all happened so fast, I don’t have a cover yet but I did have to come up with and write a short summary of my story and get it to the editor this week because they are in the process of writing the book blurb now. So perhaps it will be up for preorder soon.

It’s been a crazy week. On Monday, I was in the middle of writing Two Dates to a Wedding (Oklahoma Nights, Book 2), when copy edits on One Night With a Cowboy (Oklahoma Nights Book 1) arrived, then the email for the proofing on the ARC of Model Soldier (Red, Hot & Blue, Book 8) showed up, and then this opportunity came along and required immediate attention and a potential story blurb by the end of the week. But I got it all done and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I think I’m still riding the adrenaline high because it’s not from getting plenty of sleep, I can assure you of that. One thing a pressing To Do list does to me personally is keep me up at night worrying about it.

So now I have to write all of this I committed to for Kensington, plus rewrite the final 2 Red, Hot & Blue stories I owe Samhain, and get a new Studs in Spurs to them soon because I wouldn’t dare leave you guys hanging too long between releases in that series. It’s going to be a busy fall/winter. I may not see you again until after New Years but it will all be worth it in the end.

  1. Hi Cat!! Sounds like you are really busy and loving every minute of it. I have read some of Linda Lael Miller’s books and they can be really hot too. You have given me some other authors to check out…..I go through books pretty fast and I usually read everything the author has printed. I love it. Let me know if you have any others that you can think of that I would also enjoy… Thanks Carey Platt

  2. Congrats!! Can’t wait for all books to come out, I know they will all be good. Just remember to breathe.
I am a Linda Lael Miller fan as well, like your books I have all of hers as well. So that will be great getting one book with stories from you both.
Looking forward to more of your great reads,
    Nell
