What happens when you take one grill ninja, add one inspired romance author… and mix with a BBQ smoked bologna sandwich? You get…I remember it this way… I had just started writing my 83,000 word contemporary western romance, my first for Kensington Publishing, my first of that daunting length, so of course, I was wasting time networking on Twitter. I’d noticed that one of my new followers had a URL for a restaurant located in Drumright, OK in their Twitter profile bio. So I cruised on over to the website to check it out. My reason being, the book I was working on was set in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I thought it might be fun to have the characters drive to an actual existing establishment for a date. And, the New Yorker in me also needed an example of Oklahoma menu fare, to add realism. Little did I know what would happen next.
