What is A.I. Audio Narration? It's an artificial intelligence, computer narrated audiobook rather than a human narrated one.
Why would you want that? A few reasons why you might consider getting an AI audiobook are: 1) A human narrated version is not available (and will never be available) for that title. 2) For the visually impaired, the AI narration is better quality than having your device "Read Aloud" a Kindle book, and that is because the technology is better and the author has the opportunity to correct any computer mispronunciations before releasing the audio. 3) Generally, AI audiobooks are offered to readers at a lower price than traditional audiobooks. I've made my AI audiobook the same price as the eBook so the visually impaired can choose Kindle or AI Audio for the same out of pocket cost.
Why is AI Audio not available on Audible or the other audiobook sellers? It's still a very new technology. Many vendors don't accept AI narrations, only human ones. Personally I expect that policy to change as AI technology improves and reader demand increases. For now, Google Play is the place to go. And I'm exploring listing them on Kobo as well.
