Ho, Ho, Promo Ho – Nice & Naughty

Another Cat Johnson holiday-themed book is actually 3 in 1. NICE & NAUGHTY – three love stories, three heroes, but all intertwined with one over-arcing theme–sexy firemen raising money for charity by posing nude for a calendar and hosting a bachelor auction. I LOVE old Christmas movies. Christmas in Connecticut starring a young Barbara Stanwyck is probably my favorite of the bunch but I can rewatch these classics every year. The themes inspired me for the stories in this trilogy. If you love the old black-and-white classic holiday movies such as Christmas in Connecticut, Shop Around the Corner (remade with Tom Hanks as “You’ve Got Mail”), and Holiday Inn, you’ll love the three Nice & Naughty stories they inspired. Nice & Naughty ~ a hot holiday trilogy with firemen What’s better than a fireman? Twelve of them, naked, on the pages of your calendar. Secret Recipe: A famous lifestyle maven who secretly can’t cook? Good thing a sizzling hot fireman/calendar model knows his way around the kitchen and is there to rescue her and her charity event from certain disaster. If they detour to the bedroom on the way to the kitchen, even better. Mr. December: When the real December calendar […]

Classic Romance Tropes – enemies to lovers (opposites attract part 2)

Last week, I brought you a post about one classic romance trope, opposites attract. You can read that HERE. Disney knows the value of this classic theme. Think Beauty and the Beast. Writers of the past knew it too. Remember Darcy and Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice? As in that story, opposites attract can sometimes be accompanied by another theme, the “I hate you, I love you” enemies to lovers scenario. That’s what happens in my upcoming release, MODEL SOLDIER. The heroine and the hero couldn’t be more different. They mix like oil and water and in the beginning it causes quite a bit of friction as they are forced to work together. But you know what happens, friction can cause sparks, and in this case, the sparks are of the sexual attraction variety until the two are burning up the sheets. You can read an excerpt at the Samhain site. What’s your favorite romance trope? I’d love to hear.
